The Vision

The Fetal Medicine Foundation is a registered charity that aims to improve the health of pregnant women and their babies through research and training in fetal medicine. The redevelopment at Windsor Walk will create facilities such as consulting rooms, operating theatres, research laboratories, lecture theatres and offices that will help advance the Fetal Medicine Foundation's vision to provide improved care for pregnant women and their babies.

Our Role

We were appointed to provide full project management and employer’s agent services.

We became heavily involved in the adjoining owners’ agreement, developing a good relationship with the Maudsley Trust to agree occupation of their land during the construction works, which helped to ease logistics thereby reducing the construction programme.

We recognised the fast developing nature of science and fetal research, which challenged our designs for the lab. We initiated a shell and core proposal to allow a ‘just in time’ design and fit-out of the research and development lab and provided a strong case to the funder to ensure this did not impact the business model and funding.
