The Vision

To create a facility that will encourage integration between youth groups, reduce crime and improve the lives of the less privileged young people in the area.

Our Role

We were appointed to act as Project Manager to manage the delivery of this complex project. Our role included extensive stakeholder management, which was unique in this case, as the project was led by the users of the facility – the young people in the local community. We worked extensively with local schools and youth clubs to ensure that the facilities were suitable for their needs and aspirations. We worked closely with the youth client body to brief the project and procure the team, including a ‘Dragon’s Den' style process to appoint the Architect. Another major part of our role was liaison with the BIG Lottery who funded the project, as well as managing the
draw-down of the funding.
