To maximise value from the Trinity Leeds Shopping Centre in terms of space, connectivity and revenue. A major retail development in Leeds city centre comprising new build, refurbishment and re-modelling of the existing Shopping Plaza and the Trinity area. The new development offers 100 units over four floors, comprising basement servicing, retail accommodation, cinema, restaurants and a feature glazed roof.
Appointed at the feasibility stage, we helped improve overall phasing, space planning and connectivity to drive better footfall throughout the centre. We refined the programme and produced detailed phasing plans to minimise disruption likely to be caused by the scheme. We also managed key parts of the CPO process, adjoining owners’ agreements and planning submissions. We led a major redesign of the glazed feature roof to bring the scheme back within budget. As a team, we were able to make savings totalling £14 million by satisfying the planners that the new simplified roof maintained the requisite design integrity.
