HPG Developments will deliver this project, including a Travelodge hotel, associated car parking and an element of car parking for the restaurant, which has been sold to a restaurant operator. The hotel has 71 bedrooms and a café area
The development aims to provide three designated areas: an office, hotel and restaurant. The Travelodge hotel, designed by Bogle Architects, will be delivered by HPG Developments together with the associated car parking and further car parking for the restaurant plot.
We provided project management and employer’s agent services to HPG Developments, taking the project through the design and tender stage, but it was then put on temporary hold. We monitored the design team and all of the associated project administration, provided a formal style report to the client every month, liaised with Travelodge representatives Wakemans for sign offs and approvals, and chaired and recorded the project meetings.
We also instigated and implemented a Tenant Variation Schedule, which could potentially save the client £40,000, as well as playing a key role in coordinating the shared site issues with the restaurant operator.
