Woodland Trust

A new, highly-sustainable HQ for the Woodland Trust to provide office space for approximately 200 staff

The Vision

To create a workplace that allows the Trust to operate more efficiently in order to achieve their core aims. As a charity, it was crucial that the supporters of the Trust saw that a frugal approach was adopted and that the new building would be a worthy investment of funds that would otherwise be used for conservation work.

Our Role

We conducted an initial consultation with key staff from the Trust and developed a brief that encouraged sustainability to be built in from the outset. This ensured that the functionality and operational requirements of the organisation were the absolute priority in the design.

As well as managing the delivery of the building and relocation of staff, we also worked with the Trust in order to develop the workplace and cultural changes that were necessary for the project to be a success.
