We provided project management and contract administration services. As part of our role we enabled Primark to open for Christmas trading by working closely with the contractor to work around delays caused by late utility connections and discoveries of asbestos at the start of the project. The site was split in two and the groundworks were able to start earlier, thereby maintaining the original programme. In order to ensure that any variations or deviations from the developer's shell specification were communicated efficiently between tenant and landlord, we devised a very simple tracker.
During the excavations, the site was subject to a World War I unexploded bomb watch.
