The Project
With New York, Singapore and Manila already home to Resorts World complexes, Genting desired their first in Europe and chose the NEC site in Birmingham as its destination.
The £150m project created the UK’s largest casino and a designer 176-room hotel and spa. On top of this, there was an 11-screen Cineworld cinema with IMAX, a designer outlet centre, adaptable banqueting and conference space and multiple restaurants and bars.
As well as providing Project Management and Employer’s agent services to Genting, we helped to improve efficiencies and increase the saleable area at the design stage; this resulted in £5 million of cost savings.
