DP World's development of a world class port in the Thames Estuary at Essex comprising a container terminal which can accommodate the largest deep-sea container ships.
Sections of the main deep water navigation channel from the North Sea to London Gateway are relatively shallow and need to be dredged to provide suitable access for large containerships. The dredged material from the channel is used to reclaim part of the Estuary to form the new container port.
Buro Four provided planning and programming services to DP World’s project team, in particular the production, updating and monitoring of a master programme that contained over 2000 activities. We also provided support to the CPO process, agreeing consultants' scope of work and programme, tenant negotiations and, in preparing port operations, pre-planning.
