The Vision

To create a great school with an exciting learning environment that would become a beacon for the community of Reading.

Our Role

We were appointed by the client to apply our experience in facilitating innovative design solutions to the clients brief, which was based on designing, building and opening a creative learning environment, a year earlier than considered feasible.

We achieved the delivery of the facility, within the optimistic time scale through a variety of exercises including the adoption of a DCSF Exemplar Design - saving significant design time and allowing immediate testing with the educational advisors, town planners and community.  And the introduction of an innovative contractor procurement route that facilitated early engagement of the contractors supply chain, saving time and achieving better value for money.
