A new 450 seat auditorium along with recording studios, teaching space and rehearsal rooms.

The Vision

To provide a new home for the University’s School of Music which includes the most flexible performance space at a UK university to accommodate all performances from solo voice to a full symphony orchestra, as well as providing state-of-the-art teaching facilities.

Our Role

We supported the University’s internal estates team with strategic project advice and managed the construction contract through the provision of employer's agent services.

The new building finally completes Sir Aston Webb’s 1900 masterplan for Chancellor’s Court; a semi circle of (now Grade II listed) buildings at the heart of the University campus.
