Following the hugely successful restoration project completed in 2008 and managed by Buro Four, The Monastery Manchester is to embark on a second phase of restoration and development in order to expand and extend its facilities.
Work on the new £3m Welcome Wing is to begin in February this year.
The extension for the 150-year-old Grade II* listed former monastery is based on the footprint of an original building torn down in the 1960s and will provide more space for the local community as well as corporate and private events.
