Buro Four is delighted to have a number of projects shortlisted in this year’s RICS Awards. The following schemes have beat off stiff competition to make the regional finals of these prestigious awards.

The Malings, Carillion-igloo Ltd
Shortlisted in the North East Awards for the ‘Regeneration’ and ‘Residential’ categories. This highly sustainable, high-quality residential scheme in Newcastle, designed by Ash Sakula Architects, will raise the bar for development in the area promoting more sustainable ways of low-energy living.

New Bailey multi-story car park, English City Fund
Shortlisted for a ‘Commercial and Infrastructure’ award, in the North West region. This nine storey car park, designed by RHWL, is part of the wider Salford Central regeneration scheme.

NT Future, The National Theatre
Shortlisted in London for the ‘Tourism and Leisure’ award.  This exciting renovation of the National Theatre strives to create an enhanced and more accessible environment in which its audiences and artists are not only entertained, but also increasingly engaged.

Bay Campus, Swansea University
The 65 acre Bay Campus development, designed by Hopkins Architects, has been shortlisted in the ‘Regeneration’ category for the Wales Awards. The new Energy Safety Research Institute has also been shortlisted in the ‘Design through Innovation’ category.

The regional award evenings will take place throughout April and May, with all regional category winners being put forward for the National Awards to be announced on Wednesday 18th May in Bristol.
