The refurbishment of a 1970’s office building 20 Manvers Street has been shortlisted for two awards. 20 Manvers Street in Bath is now one of the highest rated, non-new build developments in West Midlands Pension Fund’s portfolio.

The project has been shortlisted for the BCO South of England & South Wales Awards 2018 which is taking place on 10th May in Bristol.

It is also shortlisted for the RICS Awards 2018, South West ‘Commercial Project of the Year’ also taking place in May. Last year the project won Insider Media South West Property Award ‘Office Development of the Year 2017’.

Located between two listed buildings in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 20 Manvers Street was comprehensively refurbished with a modern, yet sympathetic design. A new glazed entrance has been brought back to pavement level, enhancing the relationship between the building and the public realm, while a rooftop glass box offers panoramic views of the city. Internally, a new double height ground floor reception and new fourth floor provide 44,994 sq. ft. of top quality Grade A office space.

The project has achieved high environmental standards with one of the largest roof level photovoltaic arrays in central Bath. The project is set to achieve BREEAM ‘Very Good’ and has achieved an EPC Rating A.

Michael Roult of CBRE Global Investors commented,
