On Thursday 23rd June, two teams from Buro Four took part in charity events across London; the London Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenge and the Great Property Industry Bike Ride.
The property industry descended en masse to Denbies Wine Estate in Surrey to take part in CBRE’s World’s Biggest Property Bike Ride. Raising money for homeless charity - Shelter, the popular event took participants around the scenic Surrey Hills and features challenging terrain for all levels of riders.
The three routes, Epic at 64 miles, Standard at 32 miles and the Short at 15 miles, all head for the iconic zig-zags of the Olympic road course which wounds its way up Boxhill to the stunning viewpoint. There was only time for a quick breather to admire the view, before heading in a scenic loop to the climb onto Ranmore.
Despite the rain, mud and VERY large puddles, the Buro Four team had a fantastic time … now we just await the timings!
On the same day – and this time in aid of the charity CRASH - Buro Four entered a team into the 18th London Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenge.
Braving the torrential rain, thunderstorms and lightening, this was our first time entering a crew into the competition to battle the 200m race course against a competitive field of regulars.
Although the team continued to improve throughout the day, posting a career best time of 42.86 seconds, Buro Four made it through to the semi-finals and narrowly missing out on a spot in the final, finishing 8th overall out of the 40 teams taking part.
Well done to all those involved!
