What We Do / Design Management

Design Management

Can a creative process be managed? Yes it can, if you understand the process and apply sensible controls that recognise the value of the creative output.

What does Design Management actually mean?

Whether provided to a lead consultant, lead designer or client, our specific understanding of the challenges involved in the management of the design process, can create measurable efficiencies for the design team and the client.

As well as clarifying objectives, roles and responsibilities, we specialise in design programming and the subsequent assessment of progress and streamlining the more administrative elements of the design process.  Typically, this would include deliverables planning, resource projection and management of the activities of the design team.

Our service is flexible and responds to the particular needs of each client, practice or project that we are involved with.  Skilled, experienced, professional individuals within our design management team have an in-depth understanding of the design process and so bring an objective approach whilst working empathetically alongside designers.

Buro Four are the glue that holds the team together, managing the client interface in such a way that the core team members can focus on their individual skills to the benefit of the project
