Clive Ledger re-joins Buro Four

Buro Four, the specialist project and programme manager, is pleased to announce the appointment of Clive Ledger as Director of Higher Education.

Buro Four, the specialist project and programme manager, is pleased to announce the appointment of Clive Ledger as Director of Higher Education. Clive’s role will see him managing the portfolio of Higher Education client accounts, as well as looking at ways to further strengthen Buro Four’s Higher Education project management offering.

Buro Four have over 30 years’ experience working with some of the leading institutions across the UK, planning and managing projects ranging from large scale campus developments, to smaller framework refurbishment projects with tight deadlines and strict budgets. Current projects include the £320m Manchester Engineering Campus Development for University of Manchester, The Boldrewood Campus for University of Southampton, £15m Sensor City Liverpool for Liverpool John Moores and University of Liverpool, and the £300m Innovation Systems Campus for Cardiff University.

Clive previously worked for Buro Four from 1997 to 2006, before moving to Artelia to work on the Department for Education Academies Framework and other Higher Education, charity and public sector projects. He has now returned, bringing with him his knowledge and understanding of both the construction and operational side of projects. Clive is particularly focused on working with Universities and end users to explore and incorporate new ways of working, teaching methods and technologies to ensure that the potential of the spaces we deliver are fully maximised.

Clive, commenting on his move and the outlook for the sector more generally, says:

“Re-joining Buro Four was probably the easiest career decision I have had to make. I feel privileged to be part of a team with such strength and depth and the desire to deliver excellent support to our clients. It’s an exciting and challenging time for all parts of the educational sector as it faces the challenges of student demand, research need, funding and competition. We at Buro Four will be looking to develop relationships with a variety of education institutions, consultants and contractors so that the best possible service can be delivered to support our clients meet these challenges”.
